Spring clean? spring blitz more like!
it appears to have been one of those fortnights where everything decides to break; first the washing machine, toilet, printer, dishwasher, car (went in for m.o.t, came back broken???) luckily most have been replaced, fixed or mostly fixed (apparently you can't turn the heater in the car off now) but one form of destruction was actually welcome as another boggy winter proves too much for the front garden at the Watt residence(also known as the second car park).
for those of you who have had the unfortunate pleasure of having to park on our garden especially during the colchester monsoon season, those days are at last over.
as of the end of next week (fingers crossed) we will have lovely new drive, soon to be a drive-thru once the second curb is dropped. in the meantime it is causing some great fun having our very own digger world and some great stress for 2 little furries who are seriously lacking in the 22 hrs of sleep a day department due to noise from heavy machinary. thought i'd add some picks of the driveway-in-progress...

most amusing was on day one when people came home to find a 3 foot drop from the doorstep to the ground and needed a crate to stand on to actually get in!
finished product should be nice and will help in the avoidance of mud-on-sisters-wedding-dress at the end of the month. not that it'll rain. it'll be really sunny. and warm. fingers crossed.
