Everything happens at once!
Last Monday i woke up determined to do something with my week. Help Dad finish the pond, sort out the paperwork, trawl the local websites for anything that looks remotely like a possible job to apply for etc. You would have thought that being unemployed would provide you with hours of free time to do these things but you would be surprised.
Despite not doing a 9-5 everyday, having no job is not as much fun as it may seem.
Anyhoo,
someone clearly had other ideas as within 5 minutes of getting up i had 2 days temping work and within the next hour it had expanded to a whole week. Yay!
I had forgotten the trials and tribulations of the working population but hey it was only a week, doing things i possibly wouldn't be looking for in a career but its all good experience as they say.
I spend 2 days pulling staples out of documents which may not be everyones idea of fun but they were paying me to do it so i was laughing! Covering reception for a solicitors firm the rest of the week was less to my taste but again, being paid to sit all day and answer phones was not so bad. i also discovered the world smallest toilet cubicles!
Of course having had the busiest week for a long time, it would happen to be that i had a busy weekend too - travelling up to the big city for the National Wedding Fair with Bride no. 5 (Gemma) and ontourage for a look see. We got magazines, fliers and a few freebees as well as taking in the sights and sounds of this years wedding fashions on the catwalk. They were... interesting. Lets just say i wasn't sure about the tarten panels on wedding gowns but each to their own. The capes instead of veils was a great idea though.
Hopefully ideas were soaked up and it seems that everything for this particular wedding will be covered in sparkles but then i wouldn't expect anything else!
Sunday morning was spent wandering round a possible venue in Suffolk, before commuting my way back home.
I wonder what this week will bring?
