Go Ape 2: Return of the monkey

Having had a relaxing weekend all round, it was inevitable that bank holiday monday would be exhausting and painful to correct the balance.

We headed back to Thetford forest to the Go Ape complex (for those of you who don't remember the hen night antics see dan and vicky's blog) for a day of fun. Having done the course before i thought it would be easy peasy this time round, gracefully gliding over obstacles and landing perfectly on my feet everytime. One of these days i will learn. When we arrived there was a full blown thunderstrom going on so we were delayed in starting a little (metal carabinas, metal cables, big trees, lightning - you get the idea). Once up there it was fun in a tree-swaying buckaroo kind of way, but the company was good and the landing pads were soft and squishy. There is no way to describe how much soggy woodchip i am STILL finding in my clothing!

after the second zip wire i gave up trying to land properly and went for damage control instead (safety note - using your head to reduce momentum = bad idea)
'well done' to Dave who didn't fall once and 'never mind' to J. who made it all the way to the end before going over.

Hal: ha ha ha

Happy to say i completed the course this time round although there are more bruises and more pain than after the trip with the lovely ladies.

hopefully photos soon
