last touches (not sure
how she does anything
with those claws on!)

waiting for the cars:
this pic doesn't do
justice to the dress,

How Cute!

Have found a great website for time wasting

www.world-of-wedding-favours.com

has loads of bits and pieces including these
2 peas in a pod salt and pepper shakers, cute!

ALL HAIL THE HEN!

Last saturday saw the arrival of my sisters hen night (finally!)
which saw lots of cheesy grins, silly headgear, very short shorts and even a few
dancing girls (well, laydees really) all things went to plan although
when i popped round to see my sister the following lunch time she
led me to believe that she hadn't actually made it to bed yet!

much fun was had (and at an incredible fraction of the price of the
stag-do) and tabs were kept on the hen all night, unlike a certain
young man dressed in antlers and carrying a deformed blow up doll
round london!

i feel like i can really relax now that it's over :)

oh, except of course there is still a wedding to do!!!

spring has sprung

spent a couple of hours up at the local uni looking for evidence of spring. no ducklings yet but was quite peaceful up by the lakes. opted for this pic rather than the one that makes it look like the fountain is coming out of my ears. thanks J!

Spring clean? spring blitz more like!

it appears to have been one of those fortnights where everything decides to break; first the washing machine, toilet, printer, dishwasher, car (went in for m.o.t, came back broken???) luckily most have been replaced, fixed or mostly fixed (apparently you can't turn the heater in the car off now) but one form of destruction was actually welcome as another boggy winter proves too much for the front garden at the Watt residence(also known as the second car park).

for those of you who have had the unfortunate pleasure of having to park on our garden especially during the colchester monsoon season, those days are at last over.

as of the end of next week (fingers crossed) we will have lovely new drive, soon to be a drive-thru once the second curb is dropped. in the meantime it is causing some great fun having our very own digger world and some great stress for 2 little furries who are seriously lacking in the 22 hrs of sleep a day department due to noise from heavy machinary. thought i'd add some picks of the driveway-in-progress...

most amusing was on day one when people came home to find a 3 foot drop from the doorstep to the ground and needed a crate to stand on to actually get in!

finished product should be nice and will help in the avoidance of mud-on-sisters-wedding-dress at the end of the month. not that it'll rain. it'll be really sunny. and warm. fingers crossed.
