All for Charadeeeee!

For those of you who don't know, last week was Children in Need (if you missed it, you were probably the sensible ones who left the planet to avoid Peter and Jordon's performance of 'A whole new world') and this years theme was 'Hair'.

Having been noted at work for his sense of fun and willingness to join in the shinannigans especially as far as fund raising goes, Mr Broadley got a little mixed up in the charity events...

and here's the results!

...the colour and glitter has unfortunately gone but the mini-mohican will be around for a little while, primarily to scare his grandparents :)

Birthday Fun!

Well, it's been a busy weekend with people coming and going (friends and family respectively) but found time to meet up on saturday night for chinese food to celebrate my 24th birthday. it also appeared to be an opportunity for people to get together and exchange germs as the winter cold season is here again!

of course there was time for a little silly business as well!

thanks to everyone who traversed to country to be there...

...and to those who popped round the corner too!

i had a really good time and hope everyone else did too
just the tidying up and catching up on sleep to do now :)

Chilly Days Ahead - Christmas is coming!

I know, I know! for those of you who work in the retail industry Christmas has been coming for the past 4 months, but for me yesterday was when it really started feeling like winter. While it is still only November, I am one of those annoying people who shops early and sits and gloats at those people in a last minute panic. Well, not really but i like to be organised.

Yesterday was one of those days where you wake up and its really cold and frosty and you just want to stay under the duvet for a bit longer. For some of us that was possible :)

Once up and about, J. and I donned our coats, scarves, gloves etc. in true winter fashion and headed out for some christmassy style shopping.
The idea was mainly to get stuff for Operation Child Christmas Shoe Box appeal but i couldn't help picking up some extra bits and pieces at the same time. It was just a really lovely time - cold but not too cold, the sun was shining and the company was just right. If you ask J. he may not agree however. He is suffering with a nasty man-cold but then everybody choses to celebrate winter in their own way.

I know that most people are constantly busy this time of year but i hope you all get to experience just a little bit of the contentment i felt yesterday in your run up to Christmas.
Take Care
